i over perspire. and it's ruining my life. okay, not ruining it. but it's gotten to the point where all i wear now are hoodies. i can't wear t-shirts or even lightly colored long sleeves. i'm not overweight, it's not because i'm nervous because it happens even when i'm sitting at home. it's not because i'm hot because it happens when i'm cold or even at a comfortable temperature. it doesn't smell or anything, it's just a lot of wetness. i tried that secret clinical strength stuff, and it didn't work. i've tried almost every product that you put on your pits to supposively make the sweat glands smaller. doesn't work. i want to know if there is any way, other than botox injections or something expensive, to keep my pits from perspiring so bad. i have a new boyfriend and i can't wear anything but hoodies and sweatshirts around him. he doesn't know and i don't want him to. HELP ME!

I used to sweat a lot, I'm sorry, I know how that can really affect your life. I ended up stopping using commercial antiperspirants, and voila! I stopped sweating. The only thing I can figure is that my body got so used to having its sweat glands clogged (that is what all those things do), that it decided to FREAK OUT and sweat more. I started getting cysts, irritations, all sorts of icky things under my armpits, so I decided to give them a rest and I stopped using all that crap!

Go figure, I stopped sweating nearly as much, and now I only sweat when I work out, or when I get REALLLLLLLLY nervous, but not very much. Strangely enough, my sister did the same thing (we never talked about it at the time), and she stopped sweating too. It could be a genetic thing, but it could be worth a try in your case. Be aware that it might take a little while (a month or two) for your body to adjust. My sister and I can both use the Crystal (I use the roll-on) or things that are deodorants ONLY (NOTHING that says anti-perspirant!!). I wish you luck! I can wear tight t-shirts under the arm now, which would have been unheard of a few years ago! yay!

It may be what you're eating. Do you eat some spicy food before you start to perspire? Maybe it may be that you're so aware of it that you make it happen unconsciously. Look into the injections, some hospitals have special programs for people who cant afford the really expensive stuff.

First of all, don't be embarrassed!!
I know the feeling! It's uncomfortable to be sweating even when its freezing out!

Certain Dri products realllllly helped though. It took like, 2 nights for it to start to kick in, but be patient!
It really does suck, but like I said, don't be embarrassed! Like YOU said, it's not your fault!
Laugh it off if someone notices, be like "You just have that effect on me", or "Man, am i THAT hot??"
Oh, by the way, if you are a very active person, you are more likely to have these problems.
Lol, I think my whole bball team is using certain dri after one of us recommeded it!!! Everyone on the team swears by it!
You can get it at drugstores, i think its like 6-8 dollars.
good luck!

Go to the doctor some people have this problem. Dont worry its something that happens to many. I heard you can get Botox injections there and it will stop the sweat.

The docs use botox injections to stop the glands from being so overactive.
Talk to your doctor. It is a valid medical condition that can be controlled.

Have you been to a dr? You may be suffering from a condition called hyperhydrosis. There are a lot of ways to treat it, depending on if it is mild or severe. If anti-perspirants don't work, you could see your dr about Robinul or Ditropan.

i use this stuff called certain dry ... i used to have the same problem ... deodorant and antiperspirants wont fix it alone .... you can find it a like a Walgreen's or Walmart or someplace like that .... but if you do try it , don't expect it to work the first day , b/c it takes a little time , and follow the instructions very carefully.. good luck .

This is a common problem... over-active sweat glands. There are different medical precedures for this... one of them is injecting botox into the arm pit... surprised me, too
