It's called tomalito, it's like corn pudding. Search under that and it should bring up some recipes.

Is it cornbread salad for is it meal gravy? Cornbread salad has onions, corn, mayo, celery, and crumbled up cornbread. Meal Gravy is gravy made from cornmeal....you take 2 heaping spoon fulls of Crisco.....melt in an iron skillet to very hot....add two heaping spoons of cornmeal stir with a whisk until starts to brown...then add about 3-4 cups of milk....cook on med. until...thickend like gravy...good on biscuits and potatoes....

I believe it is called polenta. It tastes ALOT like cornbread, because it is made with some of the same exact stuff!!!!!

Polenta, it's made from cornmeal, the same as cornbread is made from cornmeal just prepared differently.

It's a sweet masa, made from corn meal. There is also a mix you can buy on the baking aisle. They also have it at El Torito.
