Again another classic example of cops abusing their power. you will see the "brotherhood" defend their actions over and over again here and it all comes down to them thinking they can do what ever they want whenever they want are are above the law. This cop was wrong and should be fired to say the least.

So? I do not understnad what you are getting at. You can not give up your child. The officer was trying to get information in reference to the wellbeing and care of that child. He attempted to stop the mother. She did not comply. Maybe he should have let her chop the kid into pieces later to get rid of him (sarcarm). I don't know....He did what he thought was right. She did not comply. She was taken to the ground. At that time, as the video shows she would still not comply or cooperate. She was tased in the neck. Taser International does put in their training that "drive stuns" in the neck are acceptable. If you see the "poofy" coat you will know that the M26/ X26 will have much more fiber to work through. You should even know that if the probes are used there is much better conection with clothing under 1 inch thick. This officer did not eve nknow this lady was pregnant...Not that it matters. He was still justified even in department policy...if you read the article it stated to use judgement. I was not with him. If he "judged" that that was better than pushing her face into the concrete, spraying her, or going to pressure points than so be it. "Drive stuns" cause very little injury and are only pain compliance. What is sad is this lady with a F**K Trophy walking around trying to give a child up with another on the way...

This woman was emotionally unstable, and not acting rationally. Who else would want to give up their own child? She was a suicide risk. This would also put her child, and the unborn child, in serious risk.
Allowing a depressed and emotionally unstable woman to leave with a one year old child was not an option.
Emotionally unstable people do not listen to reason, have a high tolerance for pain, and will fight to the end. If the officer tried to detain her using hands only, one or both of them could have been hurt.
Being pregnant does not give you the right to fight with a police officer doing his job.

"She did not disclose, even after she was arrested, that she was pregnant," Etter said. He said the woman was wearing a large winter coat and had her child on her lap when she was talking to the officer.
She was tazed because she resisted arrest. There has to be something better to do than bash cops for incidents that have nothing to do with you.

Yes read that one this eve. The cop already had her down and was holding her down. NO reason to taze her neck. Ridiculous abuse of power.
