I have 2 kids born in December one on the 7th and one on the 8th. My husbands b'day is on Christmas and mine is on Jan. 2nd. We have always made time for each individual b'day if not on the day either close to it or we have done the celebating later in Jan. My husband always gets double gifts at Christmas and sometimes a b'day cake. If you really would like to have a b'day party, be creative and pick a time when everyone can celebrate with you. Do it before or after your b'day if that works best for you. Good luck and Happy Birthday.

Yes. My Mom always solved that when I was a little kid. I had a half year Birthday. My birthday is December 20 so every July 10, I had a birthday party. Sometimes at the pool, a sleepover, a picnic in the park, etc.....all the things you can't do wiuth a December (almost Christmas) birthday. What a perfect solution. Then on my real birthday, it was just for family.

My birthday is January 7th, and after Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's no one is even a little bit interested, including me.
In your shoes you have two choices: Make your own celebration, doing something for yourself that you really love, and/or just let it go. It's just a day, and if people are happy that you are in their world, they will find a way to show you and to celebrate your presence, even if it isn't on the day of your birth. It's the meaning, not the date, that counts.
Best of luck.

What To Do,
My mom's birthday is Thanksgiving week, too. We made sure to do something for her every year. We brought a cake and presents to the family celebration, sang "Happy Birthday," and made sure she was remembered. I always made that happen. Someone has to have the idea, then convince everyone else to participate.
If you aren't having any celebration on your actual birthday, ask someone who has your back to start things for you. Don't expect a lot, but make a big deal when ANYTHING happens. It makes the people who did something feel glad they did, and encourages others to follow suit.
