I think my eustachian tube may have opened so I was just wondering what the causes of this are and if I can fix it?

I've been having ear porblems and an ENT told me I have fluid behind my ear drum and I started to feel a pulse like right under my right ear where my Eustachian tube is.

It's supposed to be open. It connects your middle ear with the nasopharynx (back of the nose). It keeps the air pressure in your middle ear even with atmospheric pressure, and helps drain fluid from your ear.

It opens periodically when you eat/yawn to equalize the pressure in the midear & atmosphere. What do you mean by it's open?

HAVING YOUR SINUSES BLOCKED AT ANY GIVEN POINT CAN CAUSE THIS SLENDER TUBE TO BE CLOGGED. TIME SHOULD RESOLVE THIS. IF IT LASTS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS SEE AN EAR, NOSE AND THROAT PHYSICIAN. A COURSE OF ANTIBIOTICS SHOULD RESOLVE THIS.
