ok so i had this job for maybe 2-3 weeks. Its cool, but too much sometimes, and i might have a better job offer. Im the only one working the floor, cleaning and folding everything myself. doing go backs. closeing... and all for nothing. No one wants to buy credit, so they are cutting my hours already cuz of that... i stay till 12am, and leave class early jus to make it to work.. its hard with college and this.
so i got an offer of doing recreation, working with little kids playing sports =) which is good cuz thats my minor in school. and it will help with my major too, and i think they pay better.. and more flexiable with hours, so it wont affect my school hours..

i just feel bad cuz i havnt been in this job that long, and now i want to leave already... is that bad? should i suck it up for a while??

You need to do somethng that is going to benefit you in the long run.... sound like working with kids in sports teams would be something that will help you later on, to get some experience in the field.

I don't think it would be bad. Just tell your current employer that you have an offer that compliments your studies, and you are going to take it as it will help you in the long run.

Don't feel bad for doing something for yourself. Go with the job you'll enjoy and get more out of.

Does not sound like this job is a career maker=
pros- stick it out and hope for a good reference in the future
may satisfy some moral compunction you have
cons- job is a dead end
this job keeps you from doing something you are interested in doing

In the big picture, it would probably be most prudent to give two weeks notice and change jobs- but, before you do that, make sure you have a firm job offer in hand. A lot of employers will terminate you under these circumstances the minute you submit your notice of intent to quit.

Good luck!

Drop it like a rock. Do what it is you know you want to do.
In fact do that the rest of your life. Be loyal and true to yourself before all others for your own happiness and theirs.

Young and single? Is the time to follow your heart.

Married with kids? Time to suck it up and do what is right for everyone and if you followed your heart while you were getting there it won't be an issue.

You've only been there a couple weeks - that doesn't require you to stay. Sounds like the other job would be much better in lots of ways. Give notice to your current employer though.

If you dont like it and you have the opportunity to go do something that you think you will like better, as well as make more money that doesnt conflict with your schedule as much, by all means you should leave. The place managed before without you, and they will make it once you leave. Make yourself happy, dont worry about the place. Its not like they have alot of time and money invested in your training.

You have to make the best decision for you. Trust me, if they had a business decision to make where they would benefit by cutting you loose, you would be outta there. Don't stick around for a job you don't like. You will make make yourself and your company miserable.

Just make sure you don't burn any bridges. Present your decision to them in a way that they will respect and understand your decision.

Do what's best for you. But I would take the other job. You don't owe these people anything. You do however owe it to yourself.

You gotta do what you gotta do. You don't owe anybody anything but yourself. If they're cutting your hours, they obviously don't care about you, so why worry about them?

Go for it!

If they bent over backwards to please you, and keep you - yes stay .... otherwise.. it is "just a job".... without emotional strings attached.... they will find someone else.... (it is hard to believe, but they did all right before you came along...)
hope this helps....

Until the other offer is firm to be yours, suck it up.
