my dentist if making me wear temporary retainers until my permanent ones are made .. is okay to chew gum ?

It really isn't advisable to chew gum since your teeth aren't really stable, hence the need for the use of a retainer. Better to just wait and ask your orthodontist when you have the retainer appointment. Play it safe, don't want to mess up that pretty smile!

additional information: Do not chew any gum or eat with your retainers on.

ya it is..sugar free like he said..but sometimes it gets stuck to the retainer..which is kinda annoying!! but yup it should be ok!!
