He'll put a "chain" band on, instead of the regular bands. Its just rubber circles linked together that pull the teeth together. Not a huge deal.

haha i had the gaps too! they suck. but whenever i went to see my ortho he would say "the gaps are turning out perfectly" i was like "what??? i don't want gaps, how can gaps be perfect?" lol but ssupposibly it makes the process easier.
but now my gaps are closed and i love it.
i'm getting my braces off soon.
and the gaps for a couple of months were soo worth it because now my teeth are nice and straight.-no gaps.
your orthodontist will make them go away when it is time- dont worry about it so much:]

I had the gap too, good thing it was on the side. what he will probably do is make it even tighter. Drink Motrin before you go on your next appointment. it will be painfull

if you have gaps, you will look forward to powerchains (a buch of circles linked together). The teeth move really fast with those, I had those for my lower teeth, they aren't that bad.

the gap is so the rest of your teeth can fit in smoothly
he'll probably tighten them so it can close faster..?

PLEASE KNOW THAT CLOSING SPACES WITH BRACES TAKES TIME. MENTION THE CONCERN TO YOUR ORTHODONTIST.
