What are some remedies to make the redness on my face go away?
Should I put a cold wash cloth on it or something?
Also should I wash my face again tonight or will that make it worse?
Exfoliate or just cleanse?

Don't exfoliate pimples!!!
cleanse your face, you should be doing this twice a day and moisturise - people with pimples often don't moisturise but it is essential. It really reduces the redness. If you can find a sulfer mask use that, it's great at reducing redness. If you want to use makeup, get a green concealer and use it sparingly on your pimples before foundation

I never pop my zits. Honestly, that's the way to leave scars. In terms of 'remedies' I went to a Clinique shop and a person told me that the type of soap you use depends on the skin type-like I use a medium-bar soap from Clinique and it works really well. Go visit a shop like that and get a face soap that's for your face. In terms of redness, I wouldn't suggest exfoliating-but cleansing with a good soap should do well. Also look into products like Neutrogena Acne Rapid Clear Daily Treatment if you have a lot of acne

If u have redness that does not go away and u have a rash u may have rosacea and this must be treated by a dermatologist it will only get worse if not treated and could disfigure your face over time, many people have this and don't know it I for one had it for years and did not know what it was finally I gave up since nothing worked and went to a dermatologist, this can be helped with medication and topical like ointment look it up on google search because my spelling maybe wrong and they will take u to a rosacea society or type in rosacea symptoms in google and u can look at pictures, I hope this helps. Good Luck !

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

If you are going to pop a zit, make sure your face and hands are clean, after you pop it, apply cold water to it immediately to close it back up, and prevent blemishing. I hope this helps, but I think that I should be advising you to see a dermatologist first. The men in my house can tell by the way that I am looking them over if I am going to pounce on them or not. LOL

Popping causes the redness - you just pinched your skin. Give it a few minutes, the redness will go away. Washing with tooth-paste really works; mildly abrasive and minty - really made my skin clear up. Buy some Stridex cover-up, in case you have to pop while you're away from the comforts of home. Pop it, dab a little cover-up on and nobody will know the difference.

cold usually reduces swelling

if it was a zit I would not start applying more oil or makeup on it

maybe just some astringent or wash your face now and go to bed

It should be gone in the morning. I use to use neosporin to heal zits it really works well.

If you pop a zit you should wash your face and hands first and put alcohol on the zit afterward. Now, dab it with alcohol then put toothpaste (white) on it overnight. Really..Bacteria is causing the redness.

cool face washes with tap water only works for me. But when you pop zits, you are actually creating holes in your face where the skin tears to release the exudate from zits. When this heals, it scars over leaving pock marks.be careful.

I am not a doctor nor a specialist but this may help:

1) rinse your face as soon as you wake up, after you come home from outside

and before you sleep.
2) eat a lot of apples( i do not know how but that really helped me)
3) drink a lot of water..A LOT
4) exercise to sweat and get dirt off your face

Give it a try, i am sure it will work. It worked for me
