Food allergies are caused by proteins in food. Hops have protein in them.

Sounds like you may have Celiac disease. Check out www.celiac.com or www.celiac.org. Try a gluten free beer like Redbridge, New Grist, or Bard's Tail. Also, you should be able to drink potato vodka (Chopin) or grape based vodka like Ciroc.

Vodka's are potato based....Could be the hops, the yeasts, barley...in Beer that are causing you stomach issues.
