That depends.

If we're not causing the current warming and it's going to stop on its own soon, then yes, I hope they're right.

If we're not causing it and it's not going to stop, then I hope they're wrong. I'd rather that we have the opportunity to stop it ourselves.

At first I thought this was a great question. Then I thought about it and I realized there are more camps out there then you realize.

There are the people like me who believe the Earth is warming up, but that it's a natural phenomenon and we have been warming up since the last small Ice Age.

I also hope it continues, since I believe the Doom Sayers are wrong. We are not warming up so fast that the oceans are going to flood. (Condensation) Water in the oceans evaporate into the atmosphere, create clouds and give us rain. So... is this process all of a sudden... going to stop? I think not. I believe the warmer our atmosphere is, the more cycles of evaporation and rain will occur, which if these added rains happen in the right places, could reclaim the deserts. Oh and if the Global Warming is a major event we could even reclaim Greenland fully as livable land.

Think about it people, when the dinosaurs roamed the planet the climate on Earth was a lot warmer than it is now. So I think you crying babies should come and live in the North and you might be opening your arms to Global Warming too, and embracing it as a good thing.

Sure. I also want oil companies to discover vast new fields of oil to reduce the price. And I hope terrorism disappears.

But I'm not about to live my life as though any of that is about to happen. That would be stupid.

No. The issue isn't really about the climate. It's about raising taxes so people who believe can have more money to spend on their pet causes and limiting individual freedoms in the name of the "better good".

Good answer, Dana. Ever heard of LOGIC?

"If we're not causing it and it's not going to stop, then I hope they're wrong."

"if we're not causing it" then we ARE right.

Oh well, I'd expect that out of a 'scientist' who thinks electricity is a fuel.
