I'd say they are a bing drinker if it is the only way they drink AND they don't do that more than 3-4 times a month, with no drinks inbetween.
Any more frequent and I would have to say they could be. That sort of drinking will certainly interfere with something, which is how I consider alcoholism (ie, it has to negatively affect others, or your life in some way).
Counter-example: If a retired single widowed man living on an island drank that much (assume there is an island liquor store), and he was wealthy this would not be alcoholism. Yes, it would adversely affect health, but not his life -- he harms no one else, and is not reducing his standard of living by doing so. I'm pretty sure few would agree, but I'm sure someone here would want to be the island man...

It all depends only on how often you do this. If this is once a week (on weekends) not a big problem (still be careful), BUT if this happens more often then you may have alcoholic tendencies and NEED to stop before it turns to be full blown alcoholism. I have seen too many of my friend become alcoholics and honestly it gets them nowhere in life. And when I say nowhere in life, I don't mean only financially but mentally it makes them more depressed because they end up having to drink to feel better. And I promise you this is not how you would want to live your life. You have to understand that there are SO many things out in the world to learn, do, and enjoy that does not include having to drink. Because you cannot learn a thing drunk!

Depends on how often they drink not how much. I mean I know people who drink that much twice a year that doesn't make them an alcholic. Now if they are drinking that much everyday hell yes they are lol

Here is what I heard a definition of an alcoholic is:
Your brain chemistry begins to change from drinking and you will experience black outs. Apparently, black outs do not occur in people who are just starting to drink; this process takes time.
So, have you or this "person" ever blacked out? If yes, than you are definitely alcoholic.

It depends on the frequency. If they do it all the time and it interferes with their daily functioning, it could be alcoholism. If it is every once in awhile, it could just be binge drinking (which is not good, but not necessarily alcoholism).
