Let me tell you the sweetest sucking up I have every experienced:
I was working as a Sales Manager in a small company and there was this guy from Kasımpaşa that did the odd jobs. He was an old guy and we all had become like friends and nobody really did any bootlicking to anyone. One day, one newspaper prepared a large black&white frontpage picture under the headline "The 100 Most Important Turks in History". The guy brought the newspaper to me, saying nothing, and then I realized that MY photograph was there. He took all the trouble of finding my photograph, photocopying it in black and white, sticking on the newspaper and than retouching with lead pencil to make it look real. I didn't laugh so hard ever again.
Sadly, we lost this funny guy a few years back because of a heart attack. Rest in peace, Adil Bey.

I'm an officer in the US Army, and I think it's worse here than anywhere else I've been. In fact, among officers, it seems to be expected. I sit in briefings sometimes and wonder what mission I've been working, when my commander describes how smooth everything is going and how there's not a single problem that he hasn't been able to handle.
For my part, I always get plenty of thanks for telling the highers exactly what's wrong, and what needs to happen for us to fix it. A lot of people think it's going to make them look bad, but the big bosses are more interested in actually making things run better, and the kissups always disguise the truth by putting rose-colored glasses on those guys.
I call the brown-nosers "paper officers" because they are only concerned with how they look on their evaluations and don't really care if they accomplished anything. That, and they're about as deep as a sheet of paper. :)

No, That's no longer a well proposal purpose it might most commonly spoil the whole thing no longer fairly make it greater. If they learned that your no longer pregnant with their child you could get fired as a substitute.

hhahahaha:-)))) what happened to you? lol
i know one person, now that you asked i want to talk about her. She is like everyday trying to bring things to the office like pastries and stuff to "share them" with "the group!" yeah right!! ( i have nothing against this, a lot of people do this but how come she always buys manager's favorites hahaha)
She is always like, oohh but you should understand a manager's work is hard to do!!!!! booohhh yucccckkkkk! ( i work more than that manager)
And at then at the end of the day we make kind of briefing, for everyone it's like this: we talked to this company, it's ok etc... only one sentence or two.
This girl tells all her life. like this: "I" contacted this "I" did that "I" am doing this. (FYI: normally we work as a team there is no "I" s!!!
In the morning i take a cup of coffee and want to check the emails from the clients silently and she is always like trying to boss people around and i am like "stop talking".
The girl at the office: Stop talking and stop what you are doing!

hahaha...! That's probably why I don't climb the corporate ladder so fast. I refuse to be a kiss @ss. If I can't make it on my ability and integrity, then I'll be content to sit by and watch the corporate structure crumble.

I used to work on a place like that.. It was disgusting to observe. I also shared my opinion about it being disgusting with the kiss-ups.
Guess what happened? Yep, I got fired :D

Oh yes. Especially in my classes. Students will suck up to the instructor and yet they leave the classroom and talk some smack about them behind their backs. It really annoys me that they manipulate people like that.

"yes man" is another name. it's funny how they think they're so important to the company and it won't run right if they take a day off. but who is the one being talked about when they aren't there? and not in a good way, I might add..........
