im painting someone a sideshow banner fo christmas and I am not sure what paint is best for the classic sideshow look. And I cant seem to find any books on sidehow banner art... HELP!

I would use acrylic paint thinned out with matt medium and some water [make your paint a nice smooth consistency.]

Here are plenty of them.

Acrylics will do the best trick. For an 'aged effect' You can pop it in the washing mashine, wool cycle no detergent, if you dare.
