Will they look at you and say, You done everything that you could have to warn me.
Or will they look at you and say, Why didn't you tell me about this?
I am sure that many of us could say that we told them about Jesus, or "all my friends know that I am a Christian."But have we told them with an urgency, of the danger that they are facing?Do we love them enough to warn them about an eternal place of torment, or are we more concerned about how they feel about us?If they were walking into a burning building would we say "look at the fire" and leave it like that.
O' I know we can't make anyone be a Christian, but we shouldn't make them feel comfortable about not being one either.

You ask of what my friends would say....I am currently in the 11th grade, and because of the sin that has engulfed my school I have very few 'friends'. I choose not to be apart of my classmates' blind journey. When I am finally free of their company I will become more of a witness for my Lord, for in the Bible it tells us not to attempt to pass our wisdom on to a fool. Forgive them, for they know not what they do. It will be reflected off of them unless they truly want to change. I see so many Lost souls every day there, and in my current situation cannot convince many to See. Many teens see only that you are also a teen just like them so what more of life's consequences do you know about than they? It is this attitude that has halted me...for now. When I am among a more mature audience I feel I can do much more for my Lord than I am currently able to do. When that time comes, yes, they will say to me "I should have heeded your word....God's word.". Until that much anticipated day comes(which I am more than ready for), I will sit in silence for most of the time, and await the Rapture.

Currently, I don't have any worldly "friends". I am a stay at home mom right now, and honestly, I don't get out much. When I do, its church.

I left all my worldly friends in my past.
I do at times think, what if I ran into one of them. Oh, I already know what I am going to say! For them just to see me and the different person I have become may be enough to get them to open their eyes....lol

But, without a doubt, I would give all the glory to God and let them know, Jesus is the one who changed me, Jesus is the way!

I right now have my mother who I minister to every chance I get. She is going through very hard times.....a brain tumor, brain surgery, almost dying, making it through but now not able to do the things she did before, her husband now wanting a divorce, her fighting depression, the list goes on.

She is under tremendous attack and I try to help her understand. She thinks I am crazy, especially when I tell her about demons, I think that one really gets her. Soon her eyes will be opened.

I think It is not only sharing the Gospel with people, but, we must pray for them too. We have to plant the seeds and then let the Holy Spirit get to work on the growing part.

God bless you Brother Don ;0)

I agree where you are coming from with your heart, We are called to witness, that is all we can do, Hell is a real place, and it is said in the Bible, some on here say threatening is not the right answer, and I sort of see there point, sometimes they will be thinking it is you threatening them, that is why when we do witness, it is better off to make sure we refer them to what God says, we need to tell them there are only two roads to take, the one that is narrow, leads to The Lord and the other one is broad, and the only way to The Father is through The Son, you cannot be saved if you are not forgiven your sins, and only through Jesus Christ can we do that, you can't go to to The Lord with Sin, and Satan, The Father of Sin, and all his followers will be cast into the firery furnace, That is in The Bible, It is thier decision.

I know I have done what I can for those who don't believe. I think the greatest thing would be if when I die, the spirits of those I touched told me so. That it was that made the difference. I know 1 person who I can say with certianty I know is responsible for saving 3. That is more than me. The reality is, it is still their choice. And the seeds I plant, I will never know until the end. I depend on the Holy Spirit to reach those that I can. Ultimately, Jesus is the one who saves. My only job is to pave the way.

Nothing, they will be in awe of God's righteous judgment and too busy with that to worry about earthly things. By the way, God doesn't have a place where he burns people alive without mercy. That's a false doctrine which came from paganism, not from God. To learn about this check out www.tentmaker.org .
I would also like to point out that our motivation for sharing the Gospel should be the love of God period. Not fear. Fear because of the false doctrine of unending torment, which causes a fear regarding people around you because you think they are going to be burned alive possibly. That's a lie.
The truth is that its all about the ministry of reconciliation. Which is people being reconciled back to God and delivered from all evil.

I've done this Don. I've lost those friends and it hurt. We had some good times together and some good conversations. We supported each other...many times they were closer than my family...

Getting saved was a radical change. I couldn't shut up about it. I gave my friends gospel tracts, tried to talk to them, and pleaded with them. They all thought I went over the deep end. I still keep in touch with a few of them though it's not the same relationship. It's rough but I know Jesus said that this would happen.

When that day comes they aren't going to be able to say anything to me. I've tried several times to warn them. I've done all I can do.

I've gained everything though. Salvation...new family...priceless!

That is a good question and bit of advice. I do try to let my actions and love speak for God, but I do not "warn" them of what their future holds if they don't choose God. That is my behavior for the most part. However, there have been times when God has led me to be bold and speak. I just usually don't with out His push. Man, I am such a Gideon and Moses!

On judgement day I don't think our friends will think of us much, but the aweful wonderful God they have missed and rejected. Man. Whew. I can't even figure out what to say. Praise God. Amen. Help us Lord.

You should listen to some of Paul Washer's messages. They will knock your socks right off. You can find a message on youtube, or google him. Heart Cry Ministries.

I contemplate the words of Jesus, as He spoke about the Rich Man asking Abraham to dipLazarus' finger in cool water, to cool his tongue that is tormented in the heat of being separated from God. Oh, Don I have a deep burden, compassion, and love for many. And it is with a heavy heart that I pray with supplication to Jesus for intercession and hope that many hearts will soften to the Gospel. That is all we can do but petition our prayers up to the Lord Almighty, for He is the only one who can make possible what looks impossible!

May God keep His Hand upon you Don and give you the strength, power, and will to persevere and overcome! God Bless You and Your precious family always dear brother! {{{{DON}}}

Some will be glad for being a saved believer and remain in awe of Jesus Christ. Others will be in awe of Jesus, but after-wards be in great torment and depression because they are out of the presence of Him. They will feel a great deal of guilt for ignoring and forsaking Him for their entire life. The rest will just be in awe, but not know what's going on.

(((Don))) So true.

Our Pastor used to say: If you saw someone about ready to drink poison, would you allow them to--or even egg them on--if you were the only one who knew it WAS poison? Or would you do the loving thing and knock it out of their hand?

This is what Christians are doing when we warn others about their sinful actions. We don't want anyone to drink "soul poison". That being said, we must always be sensitive to how the Lord leads.

Edit:

(((SwItCh's))) post (*wonderful* post BTW) brings to mind the time we saw an electrical box on a pole light up with fire. Then the electric wires came falling down into the back yard where our family was visiting.

Some men came over and were going to pick up one of the downed wires. I told these strangers not to go near them--they could still be live. (My hubby's uncle died after being electrocuted by a live downed wire.) They snickered and one started walking over and bending down to grab the wire. I have to admit; I got angry and very forcefully told him that it could fry him if it was still a live wire. They laughed and scoffed along with the other man but finally listened.

When the firemen got there, they told everyone gathered around that it was a good thing no one had gotten too close... and repeated my explanation. The guys that laughed at my advice had the grace to look over sheepishly at me.

Sometimes it is easier to be bold when we talk to strangers. We have nothing to lose as far as relationship goes. I pray the Lord gives me that boldness when *anyones* soul is in grave danger. And Lord, help me remember...

I'm but a stranger here. Heaven is my home..." :-)

I am with you my brother. Unfortunately people usually take the truth as a personal attack or insult. But that's ok. Jesus warned us they would. We should keep telling them anyway. My worldly friends will say, "She told us the truth. I should've listened to her." I tell everyone but it's very sad how few people come to accept the truth that Jesus is Lord of all and suffered and died for our sins so that we can be forgiven and live with Him forever in paradise.
