my wife and I do not have any children together. And I want to know what to put where it says :

Part 3 B of the I-485 says: List your present husband/wife, all of your sons and daughters. It also provides space to show if they are also applying for adjustment.

Naturally, your step-children are not applying for adjustment.

If they were born in the U.S., when you fill in the block for country of birth, it will become obvious that they are not applicants for any benefits.

Nothing bad can happen to you if you list your step-children.

Step-children do not need to be included in the I-485.

Marriage with your wife makes her child a legitimate child of yours by operation of law.
