If one considers the dictators the USA has supported - Suharto, Saddam, Musharraf etc, how does it justify it? The US claims to be killing for freedom in Iraq (and killing civilians it is) yet props up dictatorship in Pakistan and supports torture around the world. Do you think a time will come when the US is seen as a joke and an enemy of freedom, as it is in much of the world including AUstralia and Britain?

Saddam was set-up by the US only to take a fall. As for any other "human rights abuses" you speak of concerning the US, we set them up and knock them down. It's the nature of the game. Musharraf realized long ago that the US was sick and tired of terrorists within his and other Islamic nations getting a free pass from weak "diplomatic" US "leaders such as Carter and Clinton, and declared the time for retribution against those who harbor these murdering cowards. He is now reaping the rewards for allowing his nation to do so. He is a puppet of the US, however capable. His purposes will be served when he is taken out by the US and his own people, as it must be.

We supported Briton, who has been human rights abusers for most of it's history. We support Australia, they have abused the rights of the aboriginals for hundreds of years. When will history finally see that most of the trouble spots in this world were caused by Europeans and now Americans are being blamed?

They don't need to. Most Americans have a tendency to assume they're always the good guys in the world, and their foreign policies couldn't possibly be faulty. Every thing's for a greater good.

I can't exactly blame them, history's written by the conquerors. They're not stupid, merely prejudiced by their surroundings.

You paint with very broad strokes, have a poor grasp on the subject, and are obviously biased to begin with, so I won't even bother to dignify your question with a real answer.

Also, we don't have to justify anything to you.

Military people dont have a saying about things
They just do as they are told, just doing their job
so i see your point
theres just certain things in life that benefit us more if we do them even if we dont want to

Profits, preferential deals, kickbacks....

The only people who are confused about the nature of the USA are it's citizens.

We support peace and stability.

So, here is the question:

If it is live or die, do you care what the government is?

Eventually, we can fix it but first you have to stop the bleeding.

(and the bleeding hearts)
