"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:27

And please don't tell me how weak we are, or that no one is perfect. I know that already.

What it is basically saying is that a real walk with God shows itself in simple, practical ways. It helps the needy, and keeps itself unstained by the world’s corruption. It is very important ... Many great men and women of God have lost their calls, their ministries and their earthly destinies in the Lord because they violated this basic, fundamental, common sense rule and revelation from the Lord.

I find it very interesting that James places keeping oneself free from the world’s pollution right there with looking after orphans and widows! That pure religion will lead to a life of practical benevolence; and that it will keep us unspotted from the world.

Just as a bride doesn't wear a dirty dress to the wedding, we are to keep ourselves "unspotted" by remaining pure and holy which requires a close relationship with the Lord (our Groom).

If anyone wants to win others to Christ by showing that the power of God saves
souls and makes a difference, then we better
stay out of the worlds pig pen.

Very. But it's important to understand that in so doing, we are not to cloister ourselves off somewhere to avoid contact with the world. In other words, "insulate" instead of "isolate" (cf. John 17:15).

Now that I've peeked outside, I guess I'll head back to the compound. ;-)

What do you mean by "unspotted"? I can think of a few definitions, none of which are attainable in today's world. Have you been outside?

My Brother you have to understand like I had too, Alot of reply's from people is their Fear in our Relatioship and others, with Father God in Heaven as compared to their lack of beleif and Faith, and Studying and Prayers, most of all, Their Spiritual God given Patience, The devil is on this net-work too. So the criticisim comes again along with the pursecution, for trying to Teach in every God given way he Father God in Heaven allows us, and His Spirit moves on us to be able to do this, People needs answers about Father God and Jesus the Christ, I still need Motivation, My persecution is Heavy very Heavy, I'm surrounded by unbeleavers who lashes out in the name of their god satan, they curse me about my God in Heaven each and every day, But Father God is going to remove me, and the hell they will pay, I take this persecution because they the World persecuted My Jesus, I have now a full Understanding of what Jesus went thru and why, Yes I can Fight back, I'm a pretty tough guy, very well trained, But that's not what Father God wants me to be like, For he told me, That he, Father God will Fight for me and get these Demons off me, If I Trust Him and Be Still, and He doe's a good job very good, better than me. So Yes in conclusion yes I trust Lord God in Heaven, I give all fight in exchange for Humbleness and full Trust in the Lord my God, Just to be with Him when He comes for me, and Take Me Home With Him.

A Thumb Print VOW.

Unspotted from the World- Greater is he that is in God,, than in the World of sin. AMEN.

It's a goal that will not be achieved under the power of people, but will be realized in the power of God. If we commune with him, then our character will be transformed to be more like His.

So it's not so much what to avoid (worldly), but what to pursue (spirituality).

Regards!

it's always a battle to maintain your focus, you have to be aware of your feelings and actions to stay on the narrow road, you have to leave the world behind you to survive, if you partake of the world you will fall off the narrow path.
