Ummmm. Who knows. I'm sure it's very imaginative and interesting, though.

First of all, the mormon church (Joseph Smith) did not restore anything, least of all the " TRUTH". In order for people to really see what's behind a religion, we must look very carefully at their origin (foundation). Joseph Smith was a gold digger in the 1800's, he claimed that, get this" God the Father and Jesus Christ both appeared to him. If you ever read the bible it say's clearly by Jesus himself, that no one has seen God at anytime. Joseph's accounts of what transpired between him and the appparitions he claimed he saw don't add up to nothing serious, atleast not in the minds of intelligent people. The bible was written 2,000 years before the book of mormon, and it specifically mentions in the book of Galatians 1:8-10 " that if we or an angel preach unto you any "other gospel" than that which we have preached to you let him be accursed. Funny how the writers of the bible knew that such individuals were going to try and re-write the truth according to their own imaginations. If you want to find out the truth, go to a website called C.A.R.M.S. and check out their mormonism portion, also just plainly read the bible. also, the mormons believe that when they die, they will become gods, and marry goddesses, and rule over their own planets. What is the first commandment" Thou shalt not have any other gods before me. Isaiah 43:10 say's: I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no god, I know not any. You take it from there.

Mormons are a unique branch of Christianity. We are neither Catholic nor Protestant, so naturally we have some different beliefs. Most of the differences are minor. One significant difference has to do with the authority to act in God's name. Mormons believe that soon after the death of Christ and His apostles, the early Christian Church was greatly influenced by Greek and Roman philosophies and political pressures. Despite the efforts of many good men and women, the true Church of Christ was eventually lost because of these outside pressures and internal, man-made changes. Mormons believe that God reestablished (restored) the original Church of Christ in 1820 through a man named Joseph Smith.

They believe shortly after the last apostle died the truth that they had preached was lost from the earth. They believe Joseph Smith was searching for religious truth in prayer. God told him all churches were wrong and he was to join none of them. Then he was given the info for the BOM on golden plates. They call it having the fullness of the gospel. There is more to it. But that's a very short synopsis.
