Will you give just a little bit to help those less fortunate? Or just turn the other cheek and pretend it is not there? If the people who turn the other cheek would grab 2 cans of food out of the cabinet and donate it to a homeless shelter, many people could eat, even for just one day of their lives. What will you do......

Well..this year I bought over 200.00 worth of toys for Toys For Tots, Now I've stuffed 3 big boxes full of stickers, hats, gloves, earmuffs, toys/arts/crafts, etc. to send to Demelza House Children's Hospice. Then I will be sending them a check in January and again in July. Sadly there were no food drives around here this year...but I would love to donate food.
I love donating it's a big part of my life...

I give every day at Animal Control. I'm involved in project prayer flag that sends flags, prayers and care packages to the military in Iraq.I clip coupons for the military bases to use.Our church goes to an orphage in mexico to help upgrade the living conditions for the kids.I'm busier now that I'm retired than when I actually worked. It's a lot more fun to know that your work is needed not a pay check.

I give a donation to Care International (http://www.care.org) at least once a year, for their programs focused on helping women and girls in developing countries. I also give a donation to a well-established British animal welfare group working in Afghanistan (http://www.mayhewanimalhome.org/whatwedo/international.html) -- I was in Afghanistan for six months and was aghast at how animals, particularly dogs, are treated. I also mentor an Afghan college student, who is studying development; I help her with her assignments and have bought her a few school supplies. It's not much, I know.
