Ok well I really need your help.! I am so worried about
my puppy. I have two puppies both brothers (by blood)
& we just qot them, but that's not the point really.

We went to the vet today and the older one
taz (i'm most concerned about) but anyways the vet shaved the back of his rear so his stool wouldn't
qet stuck in his fur. and he also commented that his skin was
very raw (really red) unlike his brother.(anqel)
Anqel has fleas and as well as taz.

But I am really worried about taz because the doctor
qave us various cremes to apply to his rear and this tube
that you put behind his neck and all the fleas die off an
one or two days. it's been one day but his beinq yelpinq
like crazy his been in so much pain, it doesn't seem as if tommorow he will be well. Anqel is better but not the best
he is still scratchinq himself

-Please has anyone been throuqh the same thinq or
similar?! sorry it's just that i'm worried. Alot!
should I just stay calm.
should i be worried

No. ok I don't believe it's the reaction
he clearly told us it might irriated but
it's the fleas that he is whining at!

not the medicine.

Yelping isn't normal, call your vet. You might want to wash off all the creams that you have put on the dog to stop the irritation.

If your dog is yelping he could have had a reaction to the flea meds the doc gave you. If you have an all night vet take him to the vet so he can give you a script of meds that will stop the itching. He could have an allergic reaction and benadril will take care of that but check with the vet first. As far as his little bum where it was shaved if the doc got to close to the skin I am sure the dog has razor burn. You can put some human bacitracin and other antiotic/antisting itch meds the same stuff you would use on a baby. The flea meds are really strong and it sounds like your dog is having a bad reaction. Even so look for an all night vet and go. If nothing else he can keep your pet overnight and make him feel better.

The antibiotics are not for the fleas, they're for the raw skin. The tube you put on the back of the neck is to kill the fleas - it's an insecticide, not an antibiotic. Which is it, Frontline? Advantage? Revolution?

If you have further concerns about your dogs, please pick up the phone to the vet. Please keep your vet informed about the progress of your animals or they can't help you.

It is common to shave a "potty trail" on some breeds.
NOT common for the pup to still be yelping.
I'd bathe it in dawn to get the stuff off, call your vet tomorrow and ask for capstar to kill the fleas; try maybe something soothing like aloe vera on his bottom (is it razor burn?)

First, put them on a quality food. I recomend Evo, which you should look into.

Then, just be patient, and keep going to the vet to see if any medicine is needed.
