Here are some links and book suggestions to get you started.
A relatively objective (non-Wiccan) set of articles on what Wiccans do and believe:

Another useful article:

A good site by Wiccans (which also has a very useful book reviews page):
http://wicca.timerift.net
An explanation of the religion by a Wiccan:

And the US Army Chaplains Handbook excerpt on Wicca:

If you're looking to do some reading, I'd recommend "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham, and "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton. I advise you to stay away from anything by Silver Ravenwolf, for reasons outlined in the following essay:
http://wicca.timerift.net/ravenwolf.shtml
EDITED TO ADD: I advise you to stay away from Witchschool. They've been called the "Scientologists of Wicca", and many Wiccans don't take them very seriously. To give you an idea of the ethics behind them, recently the owners put the entire operation up for sale TO THE HIGHTEST BIDDER, on eBay. Think about it. ANYBODY could have bought it, and thus had all the personal information of the students at hand, plus "the authority to hand out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees", as I believe the sales pitch put it.
Questionable behavior at best. It tells me that they really don't care about their students and that it's probably all about the money. If you do a Google search for "why not witchschool" you'll find a series of three articles on the nonfluffypagans LiveJournal community that will give you more information.

Read. Research online, there are many good sites out there with information on Wicca. As far as books, I personally recommend books by Scott Cunningham or Raymond Buckland.
Some of the sites that I found helpful include
www.wicca.com
www.bewitchingways.com
www.religioustolerance.org
www.witchvox.com
I hope this helps, and good luck!

I wish you all the best with your search. Follow your heart. Join a forum, chat to others, don`t believe everything. If people want lots of money off you to join something, don`t join it.
look up the Pagan Federation , check out Groups M.S.N, yahoo etc.

best to begin by realizing that it is evil and stay away from it before it sucks you in to its pit.
