In yourself?
Wouldn't that be much, much better? Not following imaginary gods and silly religions.

Humans are stupid.
There were many gods before the monotheistic versions.
They started out worshipping the moon, etc..
They would find some other make believe deity or some other way to enslave themselves.
They are almost totally beyond help or hope.
I'm still trying to help though. We'll get them there eventually, if they don't kill everyone off first...

If everyone was the same color, there would be no racism.
If everyone made the same amount of money, there would be no greed.
If we had one world ruler, then we have no war.... oh yeah, that's why we need God. One world ruler, to bring peace on earth and good will towards men. because man does not have good will. That is why we have rapist, pedophiles, serial killers, and terrorist. Because there something in them that tells them to do these things. I was my own man, I lived what most would consider a good life. I was always good to people, but I just slept around. It wasn't until God came for me
and I let him in my heart, that my life changed. It was nothing anyone told me, it was my own personal experiences with God that made me fall in love with him. Religious people believe, that when we get to heaven, we'll see who was right. Children of God, have experienced him and tell people because they know the truth.

I would probably beleive as I do now - in a supreme being that made our beautiful universe, the planets, the animals and humans.

I may not know what that belief is called, but that is what I would beleive. 25 years ago, I rejected the religion I was raised in, and formed my own beleifs as stated above. I never knew what my beleif was called. I never knew it had a name.

Last year I found out what it was called. Its called Deism.

believing in yourself is the like of you are god.
which is new age religion.
but in my positon of disabilities, me as god or savior, isn't good enough..not smart enough in my youth, even now, not smart enough constistantly.
that what awesome about the proverb, you got some smart, i dare you to read proverb and you'll see some great wisdom in that.
when i was taught of evolution back in the 60's i reject it. there is no proof, of talking ape/chimp..or blond chimp or ape..or redheaded chimp or ape..sure there is orangetang..but we are not of that species..bone wrong..this worng..that wrong..ect..if they are like of us..where is their writing? and city?
the complexity of our body and creatures and bugs..is too complex to just an accidental creation..which is very illogical...that means..accidental creation can still happen then right?? so ok..you jump off building land on a person or animals and see what new creation can come forth from smashing two creatures into one..LOL..nothing but pain and death and misery of a fail evelution possiblity.
i've always believed in a high species..aliens, ghost and back from the dead and their stories tell there is somehting else beside humanism.

I think I'd seek Him out. I don't think I could sit back and just accept that this earth just...poof...appeared.

Even Darwin in the end of his book on his THEORY of evolution admitted that he didn't think it was possible because he was amazed at the complexities of the human body. Not an accident my friend.

What a vain, hopeless thing to believe in....I always let MYSELF down.

Myself, life. As I do now. I quit biting my nails. I quit smoking. I did this. No god. Why does AA say you need to believe in a higher power in order to quit drinking. Wouldn't it be better to believe in yourself?

The same as now. None.

AA has a 95% failure rate. They report 100 percent success by counting only the ones who return.

Are you kidding? People would believe in even more sillier things. People would be worshipping their poop.

Anyway to answer your question, I'd probably would believe in Santa Clause and Cap'n Crunch, and GI Joe ofcourse. I thought they were real, and watched over me at night.

I would believe in myself and whatever I see all around but I certainly would not forget to try to think and go out of my domain to learn about the other stuff unknown to me with no mind set, of course.

Perhaps like the Eskimos who would pray over the prey they hunted for dinner?
