it might work, but cumin has that chili, smokey kinda of flavor, whereas cayenne is more spicy. . I will email some to you, I use it in everything

No. Cayenne pepper is spicy. Cumin is not.

They are not even remotely related. Don't substitute. Go to any supermarket at buy some cumin.

They're two distinctly different tastes, but you could certainly try if you don't have any cumin and can't get your hands on any.
