Since I don't really like "the typical congregational church" should I convert my house to my own worshipping

sanctuary where it's just me, myself, and God?

No, surely you can find a Church that will lift you up and you will enjoy, the Bible says we are to assemble ourselves together, praising and worshiping him. When you pray, its you and God!!!

Just pray and ask God to lead you to the right church. He will.
