Hi Hazel!

The one church that I know of that I personally would recommend in the U.K. is His Church. Their website is http://www.hischurchlondon.co.uk/ . They are Bible-based and people of integrity who love the Lord.

From your post I am not sure if you personally are born again. If you would like to correspond, please feel free to email me.

Concerning struggling with sin, you really don't have to because the Bible says that you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.

The key is to renew your mind, filling it with the Word of God, allowing Him to change your thinking.

Please feel free to email me if you would like to talk further.

God bless you

The trouble is, you want security in a church, and you're never going to get it. Things are getting worse out there, but be of good cheer, you'll be able to cope, and it'll make you strong. You need to learn - quick - that security is only to be found in Christ, not even in churches.

Hey, when you meet another true believer - guess what? - you have 'church'. It's not buildings, it's God's people, meeting together and sharing what they have in common. And that happens whenever and wherever God's people meet, be they just 2 or 3 or a dozen.

Yes, okay, there's problems with the Pentecostals, Charismatics, CoE's, etc., but then that's also true with MOST churches you happen to go into. You're going to have to learn to glean where you can and let the Lord lead you. Get off to a good start.

And what? - you're not even born again yet! How can you know anything, do anything without first being born again? Go sort that out, get the Holy Spirit onboard, and then you will be able to see better as to picking your way through the current church scene.

Your question is so garbled, you're confusing me! Stop worrying about churches and sin in your life and start with the main things :

1. Get Born again - you know how. Make a good job of it.
2. Read your Bible every day and pray to understand
3. Pray to God and ask him to guide you.

When you're doing all that, the next steps are :

4. Learn to hear the voice of God for yourself - ie. through the written word (the Bible) and by the Spirit'
(He - inaudibly - whispers in your spirit, it's like a little idea which 'percolates' up, but it's not just an idea, it's him).

5. Test all 'spirits' to know whether they are from God (ie. against the Bible).
6. Be on the lookout for some sensible Christian friends, and when you find them, don't take everything they say as law!
and
7. Check a few places out and see where the Lord leads you.

This is my advice to you after 30+ years of being born-again, Bible-believing, baptised in water and the Holy Spirit, with experience of all the denominations (and a few independents), good and bad. We now meet together at home.

Maybe it's not for you, just yet, as you have a lot of experience to accumulate. However, you need to believe that, once you truly know the Lord, because your relationship is established with him, you ARE able to stand (come hell or high water), you WILL BE able to discern truth from error (follow commonsense, conscience, the Word and the Holy Spirit's signals within) and you WILL grow. Once you become one of Jesus' people, he has a responsibility towards you and he will lead you and keep you and teach you all that you need to know.

I live in Hampshire. I have kept all my details open. You can contact me on Messenger.

I agree with what others say about what they said about the

"pentecostal/charismatic AND The Church Of England, and also The Roman Catholic Church,as their doctrines, practises and the ritualistic things they do are false and wrong in Gods eyes"

Find a good Bible Teaching Church. In the USA they are usually independent, not part of some big organization or denomination. Pray that God will give you the ability to discern which Church is the one for you. God will guide you.

Sinful things are all part of growth, knowing that you have them helps you to work at moving away from them. We are human and we do tend to sin. May God help each of us in our struggle against the flesh and the desires of a sinful nature.

Hmm...honestly..you don't need to hang with a church with that kind of attitude, a real church and real Christians would be glad to accept you! So just ignore them...for this just being religious..and yes I'm a Christian, but I'm not religious. Religion is when you go the people who gives you rules to obey by if not God will punish you. and God says He forgets all your sins and that they are far away from him as the east is the west. and having a relationship with God isn't religious..its just a relationship with your best friend. no religion between you and your friend. right? So I see your interest to accept Christ? But I'm not trying to pressure you..but if want to accept Christ and be born again..then there is Roman 10:9, John 3:16. to look at. and after you see those. then just simply say Jesus I'm sorry for all the sins, and i believe that you died for me on that cross, and I want you to become Lord of my life, in Jesus Name, Amen. then congrats your now on your way to heaven.

no person is accustomed to for confident if being gay is organic and organic. there is evidence to point that biology might desire to play a ingredient, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it is not conclusive. some anybody is lots extra in all risk to be alcoholic consistent with se via biology yet does not mean that guy or woman would be an alcoholic. to your preliminary question, a lot of human beings will say gay human beings might properly be Christian, yet that's not how Christians act whilst it contains homosexuality (of path except you're a church chief). They behave as though homosexuality is the main vile way of lifestyles there is. maximum Christians have a reliable opinion approximately homosexuality yet do not instruct an identical enthusiasm against baby molestation and homicide. that is unusual to me that a gay guy or woman should be a Christian. i don't comprehend why human beings prefer to be a factor of a few thing that rejects them by using indoctrination.

I wont recommend a church, but I would suggest to you that perhaps you are trying to be perfect. Don't.

Someone suggested the Church of Christ. Don't. Because there you have to be perfect.

First maybe you need to learn to accept and love yourself, warts and all. Learn to realize how much God loves you and will NEVER turn his back on you. Realize that you may have to ask forgiveness for the same sin over and over until you get it right. Be happy that God will smile on you like your own father and will wipe the slate clean....again. Thank Him for loving you that much.

Look for a church that teaches you to worship God because you love Him, not because you're afraid of Him. Find God everyday all around you in the most simple thing and say a prayer of thanks.
"Thanks, God" is good enough. Sit down and talk to God, just like you were talking with your father, forget the "Thees" and "Thous", just talk to him. Tell Him your problems, tell Him when you're happy. Just talk to Him. Find yourself then find a church if you need one.

Good luck, buddy.

i would say to study the Bible, get to know his word, and find a church that practices it. That could be incredibly hard, but that's how it is. My mother finally found a church after 3 years. So it does take time.

Also there's a book called "Christ, Christianity & the Catholic Religion" written by Joseph C. Whyte. Interesting book and provides even more food for thought

Remember, all of them are there to promote themselves. Read the book of Acts in the Bible to see what the church was like that Jesus built. You will find that church these days in the Apostolic church. The Apostles taught people what message Jesus had taught them and told them to go preach. See upci.org for more info. Its a good, honest website! It doesn't tear any other religion down. But they will answer your questions on salvation, Godhead, etc. Something hard to give up is smoking! But its different for everybody. I will pray for you. Read Acts 2:38-9 to learn the plan of salvation. This is more vital than anything else in the world! Please read it!!!!!!!!!!! If I can answer anymore questions, just let me know. I'm in the USA, but we can e-mail. God Bless You!!!!!!!!!

You need to just find a good New Testament Bible preaching church. Just about all have some hang up(s), rituals, and things that dont matter as much as getting into the Work of God. I presently go to a baptist church that is renaming itself- because it is a spirit filled church- more non-denom, or as some say "bapticostal"

Investigate each Faith honestly. Investigate the History of the Holy Bible. Search the Early Christian and Non-Christian writers in regards to how the "First Christians" worshiped, prayed, lived, taught, and proclaimed Jesus the Christ.

When someone states for facts errors against another religion read what that community teaches from their faith perspective.

Search for Truth. Search for Jesus. Search in Love.
