Are you as weak as I am?

Question

When I hear about animals who are tortured I want to throw up. There's a show running on HBO right now about PETA and the things they see as they try to rescue lab animals, etc. and when I see that the show is on I have to turn the channel. I even have a real hard time going to a shelter that euthanizes the animals that aren't adopted because when I look into their precious eyes and I know the chances are they will be killed evenually. I really wish I wasn't so weak. Please tell me what you think.

CorsoMom- I saw the same show you saw. When they took that beautiful pooch to McDonalds, then sat outside the vet's office feeding her chicken nuggets, and then took her into the vet's office and killed her, I cryed.... And I still say she could have been rehabed.

Don't use the word weak. You are making it sound negative. You are in fact...compassionate, loving, caring, and a highly sensitive person (all GOOD things!)

I am the same way. Be proud of it, because there are only so many of us in the world that can care that deeply for other living creatures.

I don't consider it weak. I just think you like myself have a heart and a desire for the world, especially pets, to be a better place.
I haven't seen the show but I did see one some time ago where they followed a woman that ran a pet rescue that would many times euthanize a dog if he couldn't be socialized or difficult to train. Anyway she would take the dog to McDonald's for his last meat before the procedure. I cried the entire time and hugged my dogs constantly for weeks after I saw it.

ok first of all: youre not weak. your a sensitive loving person who cant stand to see animals in pain. im the same way. i cant handle those animal justice shows on animal planet, because i want to scream at the guy who was so mean to the poor dogs, cats, guinea pigs, horses, etc. shelters shouldnt euthanize, they should have foster homes. go animal rights!

i feel bad 2 about those animals, im taking a animal science class and we are in a animal rights unit, so were learning about this kind of stuff, we are waching a lot of vids like that and alot of people including me started crying, so your not weak, its just a sad subject. also peta runs on peoples emotions, they blow things way out of proportion to get there point across. so alot of the things they talk about is only partly true. but yeah i do agree that animal testing it wrong and pointless.

I know just how you guys feel. I have seen a dog adopting commerial and the dog had a bandage thingy around the middle of it's body. I see that like everyday..and I cry. and today I seen a dog get hit and the guy just kept on driving.

You're not weak, you just have a heart unlike most people in the world. I understand how you feel because im the exact same way. I like animals more than i like people usually. you should watch the movie 'year of the dog'. it s one of my favorites.

I feel the same way about it. A guy sent me a video of dogs being skinned alive, it was horrible, I cried. I hate seeing people hurt animals, I love them so much.

Bless your heart. Of course I do. Actually I just heared a new one today and I cryed. A BEAGLE GETS SKINNED FOR NO REASON!INNOSENT DOG!!! Omg I feel so bad I cried. I love animals though. Us animal lovers get that way.

yeah me and my friend mallory hate that so much!!
we were watching the one about the pigs and the chickens!!
it was so sad.
one that pissed me off so much!!! was the lady who was stepping a puppy wiht her high heeled shoes , and you can hear the puppy whimppering!!!! that one made me cry ]:

Its not called weakness.....its called empathy. There's a difference. Its not weak to care for animals.
