Perhaps you've never found one that makes you feel comfortable with both its' doctrine and congregation. I was the same way as you for a long, long time
It could also be other things that can keep the Spirit from testifying to you. Make sure that you are doing all that you can to be a vessel of the Lord and you will receive the testimony that you seek.

1. God wants you there-forget the others.
2. Read the book of Acts to find the church that Jesus built. The Bible says not to forsake the assembly. Therefore, you need to go to church.
3. Maybe you either have a need to pray about something in your life. Or maybe you have an anxiety disorder. Some people get very uncomfortable in certain situations. If you think that's truly it, see a doctor, after you get prayed for!
Good Luck/God Bless!!!!

That sounds like a problem you have, not a problem that others have with you. You say you feel unwelcome even if they do speak to you. Did you just start going? What could make you feel uncomfortalbe being in the House of God?

You are feeling unwelcomed because they may
have the inkling that you think for yourself, which
is indeed a good thing, but scary to them.
Don't doubt yourself. You are a smart and strong-minded
individual who realizes that you cannot suspend rational
thought to entertain fanatical religious whims.
Keep up the good work, don't ever allow yourself
to become a victim. Break the cycle and run like the
wind.

Yes. If you do not feel comfortable with church, and don't believe that any good comes out of going, then don't go. Church should be something that helps you emotionally/spiritually and if it doesn't do so then there is no reason to worship there.

Absolutely trust your instincts. Do NOT go if you dont feel welcome or comfortable. You are (or should be) free to find another church, or another religion, or even be free to not beleive anything if you so choose. And welcome to the free world.
If you parents raise a stink, and you are over 18, you can tell them to F off. Thats what I did. Of course my mother raised a huge fuss and claimed she was going to die of embarrassement that I was no longer going to church. That was 25 years ago, and she's still alive and still attending church. So she lied.

Listen to your own heart. Don't live your life according to someone else's idea of how you should live.
Some people have an unwritten rule that says "good people go to church". Well that is a mistaken belief.

you are not at church to wonder about things. or your feelings. you go to church to worship god. Satan will whisper all kinds of things into your imagination. Just as he did when Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden. lies

I think you feel guilty about something and going to church makes you feel bad. Do not let stop you from going. God loves you and wants you in His house.
