I created a form with Adobe Acrobat 8 and saved it as a PDF. Now I need to make changes to the form. Is there a way to open the PDF and edit the form? Should I have saved it in a format other than PDF?

You can edit any PDF with the full version of Acrobat. Do you have Adobe Reader installed also? The file may be opening with Reader instead. Open it in Acrobat 8 by starting the program first, or right click the file and choose "Open with". You should be able to re-edit your form just fine.

Adobe Reader is the free PDF opener. You need Adobe Acrobat (a pricy little program) to change and edit PDF files. There may be some cheaper alternatives, but Adobe Acrobat is the best.

I'm sure that an expensive program like Adobe Acrobat has a way for you to open and edit, or convert to text and edit ...something. cl on the Help button and search, or, look through Adobe's User's Guide which should have come with the CD.

I don't have Adobe Acrobat, so when I want to edit a PDF, I convert it with a PDF converter, or, scan as OCR, edit, and resave as PDF. There's usually more than one way to workaround.
