It depends which definition of the term Pagan you use.One definition is that it is any religion other than Judaism,Christianity and Islam so by that rule Hindu's are Pagan.
However most Hindu's do not like to group their religion with any other-Pagan or otherwise-and most Pagans respect that and do not class them as a Pagan religion.I tend to follow this way of looking at it and I would not group Hinduism among the Pagan paths.
Hindu's only 'sort of' have many gods. They believe all the gods they worship are aspects of 1 supreme deity.

Hinduism is a pagan religion in the common dictionary sense of the word.
Hindus are generally not considered part of the Pagan community (also called the NeoPagan community) for a variety of reasons, cheif among them being that Hindus do not identify themselves as such.

Do you know anything about hinduism, except that the people who follow hinduism follow many gods,
have you heard about the vedas, upanishads, the gita, and do you know anything about incarnations of God,
Hinduism is knowing the truth by one self, by self inquiry,
its not like saying a holy man called jesus as God and building all stories around him to support the false claim..
Hindus find christianity and abrahamic religion nothing more than silly...
do you people have any proof that God is one???
well we dont bother what ever u ppl call us ,pagans or anything u need,,, but it is about truth and leading to the Ultimate truth and reality by knowing different scriptures and following different customs...

Pagan has multiple meanings. Can you please clarify which meaning are you referring to?
If you mean "A person who follows a polytheistic or pre-Christian religion (not a Christian or Muslim or Jew)", yes by this definition it is because it has existed long before Christianity was even born.
Regarding Polytheism, Hindus really believe in only one God which is formless, which is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. But it is difficult to conceive such a God in mind so various deities are worshiped.

There's more to paganism than just believing in multiple gods, such as a strong reverence of nature including the sun and moon (lunar cycles).
But if you go with the interpretation of pagan meaning "non-Christian" then yes I suppose Hindus can be considered pagan.

Christians, Jews and Muslims would consider Hinduism a pagan religion, yes. Along with Buddhists, Taoists, and heathens.

"Hinduism had multiple gods"
______________________________________
This is a mis- or Dis information, a LIE spread repeatedly in this forum ,either deliberately or out of ignorance or innocuous.
Sanaathana Dharmam (wrongly named by Arabs in West Asia as "Hindu" and Europeans have added this suffix "ism"-they are not calling christianism,or Islamism etc) beleives in ONE and ONLY ONE God-Brahmam."Eka=ONE-- Eva(except that) Brahmam(God) Satyam(in reality)-Param(a SECOND GOD)-Naasthy =does NOT exist" But they have given "Freedom" to devotees to call God by any Name(Naamam) and to perceive in any Form(Roopam)--people with advanced knowledge are also permitted to call god by No Name(Anomica) and peceive Formless (Aroopam)---semetic religions do NOT offer this much of "Freedom" to devotees, because they have Commandments/ Demandments/ Regiments and all that.
In Hindu religious texts there is a word "Paagandi",probably meaning "Paganism"-Hindus and I think Pagans also worship Mitra (Sun) Chandra (Moon)--Varuna("Divinity in rain/water). Hinduism in Indian Sub-continent and Paganism in Central Asia and Europe existed atleast 300 years before Christianity and 1000 years before Islam were born(during the period of Alexander -a Greek ambitious General).

Its only pagan to those religions that claim its pagan or a heresy. It has nothing to do with how many gods there are.
The romans had many gods, and yet they beleived that that Judaism, mithraism, and even the greek gods were pagan, because they did not worship the same roman gods.
