It seems that the proselyte was more concerned with semantics than actually having a conversation of substance, so if these elders "went wrong" anywhere it was in choosing the wrong word from time to time (which then allowed the already convinced proselyte to dive off into tangents). Also, while the proselyte seems to quote scripture, however watered down and personalized it may be, the missionaries didn't give any evidence (historical or scriptural) to back up their claim. I think even if the proselyte were to give them a chance to speak without interrupting or randomly delving into other topics, the claim of these elders would be mere, unsubstantiated opinion.

Judging by the surrounding topics on that URL I wouldn't waste my time in viewing them--even if my slow dial-up Internet service allowed it.

Now for some educating: Mormons and LDS (Latter-day Saints) are one and the same, which are derivatives of members belonging to the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.

Aren't you glad I came along?

They didn't do anything wrong. That guy they were talking to was just a slick talker who THINKS he won some sort of discussion. But, all he did was totally turn those young men off of whatever ole Slick was selling. NOT the right way to convince anyone that they are wrong.

By continuing to talk with a person who didn't want to listen. That much is clear. He would get all bent out of shape if one of the missionaries interrupted him, but he had no problem continually interrupting them.
