For pro illegals it's all about what they can get America to give or do for them, not what is right, legal or sensible.

This is a good reason to stop all legal immigration. Yes, lock down the borders anyway we can to keep the illegals out, some will get in, but not nearly as many.
When the Gaza strip was given to those murderous Palestinians, and there wasn't a patrolled wall/fence anymore, the smuggling of bombs and weapons into Jerusalem became worse. Also, the settlers had their own border control made up of their own community.
Carol P, the Mexicans were the ones who were bought off. Who do you think got them in?

No. Drug running wouldn't be stopped by any amount of border security. All spending money on drug enforcement does is make drug running more profitable (by raising barriers to entry). It's because demand for drugs is so inelastic (because your customers are addicted) that the price can rise high enough to make it worth the risk of running a gauntlet at the border for a /chance/ of selling on the other side.

i think the man was stupid for going on and on about drugs when the more important issue was the terrorrists. If they don't come in from the south they will come in from the north east and west. so no not a good reason to lock down the border.
*joeandhisguitar- just because people don't have licenses doesn't mean they are not driving. duh. I personally good give a shitt less if terrorists have a license or not. in fact I hope they show the cop their license so they could be incarcerated.

Mexico won't do anything about their drug cartels; Why should it be our problem?
We need to secure our border and put a freeze on ALL immigration at the Mexican border until this whole immigration mess is cleared up...

i say go after them, but leave the mexicanos alone!
the "drug lords" should go down,...not the immigrants. you know as well as i do, that if any immigrants saw them they would go after those guy's asses!
mexicans love and support this country! and if given the chance would join the army in a heartbeat for the chance to kill some america-haters.
