I was talking with a gentleman today that told me quite a horror story about an adopted girl that accused him of molestation. They took the three girls out of the home and basically cleaned him out financially. There is no way that this guy was a Pedofile.

I don't say that because I think I know, it is a cold hard fact and it was proven he was innocent.

Is Social Service praying on children as a means to tap into our money?

Do they have too much power?

What if you are next?

I work in social services and I can tell you that the system is far from perfect!!! I have read and heard stories of children being taken from one home for various reasons some good some I don't understand....Then the homes that the kids SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF ARE LEFT THERE AND BY THE TIME SOCIAL SERVICES REALIZES THAT THE KIDS ARE IN DANGER THE KIDS ARE DEAD!!!

On the flip side to this some of the FOSTER Parents who are taking in children and try keep them in the system because they are getting money....Then when the birth parent or parents go and take the necessary actions required by social services to get their children out of the system the system doesn't give them back!!! WHY??? Some kids have been in multiple foster homes or group homes and when they do go back to their birth parents they start to act out and what happens the put the kid on medication and put him back into the system as a troubled youth!!! DID IT EVER DAWN ON YOU THAT THE CHILD MIGHT BE ACTING OUT BECAUSE THE SYSTEM TRUMATIZED THE CHILD BY BOUCEING THE CHILD FROM ONE HOME TO ANOTHER AND NEVER LET THE CHILD LIVE IN A STABLE ENVIRONMENT LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE A IMPACT ON THAT CHILDS LIFE!!!!

We as parents have let the system evolve into what it is today.....THE CHILDREN KNOW THIS!!! SOME PARENTS ARE GETTING ORDERS OF PROTECTION AGAINST THEIR OWN KIDS BECAUSE THE KIDS WERE NEVER DISCIPLINED!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH SPANKING YOUR CHILD IF HE OR SHE DOES WRONG???

ONCE THE KIDS ARE IN THE SYSTEM THEY KNOW FULL WELL HOW TO BEAT THE SYSTEM AND TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF IT!!!! THIS COUNTRY NEEDS TO REFORM SOCIAL SERVICES AND CREATE A SYSTEM THAT WORKS AND BENIFITS THE CHILDREN AS WELL AS THE PARENTS!!!!

The system is flawed there is no doubt. There aren't enough workers, the workers are over worked and under paid. However someone has got to look out for the children that are possibly being abused or neglected.
What about the children they saved?

Society, the media in particular, have done far more damage. Consider areas segregated from mainstream areas and chilren live closer to nature. These children are well adjusted.......and much happier than the kid with the ipod, newest game console, designer clothes etc.

The problem are the people who are abusive and pedophiles. Social Services wouldnt have to act like that if no one abused their children. The bad ones ruin it for everyone.

some ways yes, some ways no. i totally get what you're saying. but i've known 2 family's where they took away babies that were being harmed. one got to return to the mother, one of the other family's (there were 2 small babies and 4 year old girl who's now 6), the 2 baby boys are now in a good permanate home together and the little girl lives with her mom with visitation rights. the 3rd family is a one year old baby boy. bless his heart! his mom was vrey mucn involved in drugs and even did coke while she was pregnant with him! he's now in foster care and may return to his mom.
so my opinion is they may hurt some familes, but i think our country needs to sacrifice some of their freedom to help out the children that really do need help from S.S.

If it wasnt for the fact so many kids have been abused, there wouldnt be this problem, however I think there is a "witch hunt" by D.S.S every time the words "man, men, male, husband, boyfriend" are used.

it's an imperfect system, but you can't just sit by and let somebody abuse a child, either..... the criminal justice system is the same way. i think you can just strive for incremental improvement and strong oversight, because it wouldn't make sense to trash the entire system, either....

I don't believe you.Don't blame Social Services for him spending all his money on a lawyer to beat the rap. They should have shot him!....You probably think O.J. was innocent.
