The new limited edition ps3 that has 80 g vs the regular ps3 with 40, what exactly is it for? Can you get on the internet somehow? I'm sorry I am not very familiar with the gaming stuff. My kids really want a wii for Christmas but it is near impossible to find one right now, do you think in the long run my kids will be more satisfied with the ps3 or should I keep looking for a wii? Thanks everyone

on dell's website they listed it as a limited edition. So the 80 gig will always be available?

Can you watch regular dvd's on it? What about the guitar hero games for our ps2 that we have, will that work? Thanks

They're not limited editions.

You can get on the internet with the PS3. In the cross bar menu, there's an option to use the web.

Depending on how old they are, they might or not appreciate the PS3. If they're kids and pre-teens, they would probably prefer the Wii more, but if they're teens or older, they'll probably prefer the PS3.

The 40 gb PS3 cannot play PS2 games, while the 80 gb can play PS2 games. They both can play PS1 games. The 40 gb has 2 USB ports, while the 80 gb has 4 USB ports. The 40 gb doesn't have any flash drives, while the 80 gb does.

if your kids are 8 yrs old and under trust me the wii is the right choice.... there are more kid friendly games on it....

if your kids are a little older then get a ps3 the limited edition 80gb is being called limited edition because it comes with a free game (motorstorm)..... and that free game kinda sucks so the game doesnt really matter..... both can play ps2 games both can access the internet.... the only real difference is memory.....

the more the storage space the more game files, game demos, music files, video files etc. can be stored in the ps3....

you're a cool parent i had to save up for mine and work like 2 jobs....

the play station does way more than the wii... if your kids are like me they just want the wii for the motion controllers. many people don't know but the playstion also have these same featurs and way more games..as far as gigs go its for the memory card... thats all. nothing big.. those are for the big gamers with alot of games that they play at once... also the plastion has blue ray... if u dont know what that is , its the new dvd... made with HD so that u get a better quality than the movies.... playstation all the way

It's called limited edition, because of bundle pack - it's got a game coming with it. Apart from that - 80GB isn't a limited edition console. 80GB is better, than 40GB because 80GB supports games from PS2, while 40GB can't play them at all.
