I have the files to my installation CD I purchased, but can't find the CD. Is is true that you cannot boot from USB device because when it installs it will not read from the USB drive. My question is, can I put the files on my computer and install, or will they get deleted when it formats my hard drive for the clean install? CAN"T BURN TO DISC.

Windows OS installers are designed only for booting as an ISO disk image, nothing else will work.
