I asked a question earlier concerning a verse in Matthew, about Jesus saying "The Kingdom of God is within you" and I asked what other christians were getting from this verse. It was a question! Why would it be removed?
SO ANYWAYS--once again- That verse in Matthew 21 I believe where Jesus says "The Kingdom of God is within you"
-Do you know what Jesus was speaking about? I like to see what other christians get from these scriptures.....also you may want to look up the verses surrounding it of course.

Luke 17:19-21
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Jesus always taught that His kingdom was spiritual. Even the words He speaks:John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

So external obedience is like the Pharisees who Jesus said were like whitewashed tombs, clean outside but full of rot inside. God looks on the heart. The true work of God begins with a clean heart being born again of the Spirit.

Its the heart that makes all the rest good or bad.

Matthew 15:19
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

Matthew 12:35
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Matthew 21:43 (King James Version)
43Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

That is the speaking of salvation being offered to other nations other than the jews.

Luke 17:21 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you

Christ's kingdom.

The kingdom of God was among the Jews, or rather within some of them. It was a spiritual kingdom, set up in the heart by the power of Divine grace.

God bless

I believe that the correct quote is: ' ... but if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you'.(Matthew 12:28)
The Kingdom of God is a realm which is run by God as opposed to the kingdom of Satan run by Satan - and Satan's kingdom is this world. Christ brought the Kingdom of God here for all to see and know of its existence - and demonstrated this by expelling demons from people - something only God can do.

In Luke 17:21, Jesus was talking to the Pharisees when he said "...behold, the kingdom of God is within you", as read in the King James Version. Since he had denounced those men as "hypocrites", it is plain that he didn't mean that God's kingdom was in their hearts.
Many translations render the phrase "among you", "in the midst of you" or "in your midst". Since Christ, as the anointed King of God's kingdom, was "in their midst", or right there with them, he was speaking of an actual kingdom or government...not a heart condition. Interestingly, the following verses describe Jesus' return as Heavenly King.
Daniel 2:44 speaks of God setting up a kingdom, or government that would replace human governments and "never be brought to ruin". Of course, if our heart condition is like the Pharisees, we would not accept that kingdom, so we need to be on guard and keep looking for Bible truth, not shunning it as the Pharisees did!

Jesus was preaching to the Pharisees about their misunderstanding about getting to Heaven. And the way to get to God's kingdom is not by legalistic ways (ie. "counting the days on the calendar"), but by developing the intimate relationship with Him so that we can grow with Him and He in us.

The Holy Spirit indwells within us, regenerating us as new creatures in Christ, sanctifying us towards holiness, in the image of God. The more we become like Him, the closer we are to being with Him, in His kingdom. Holiness and love for God is the route to get to Heaven.

I think you have the wrong scripture. I read about Jesus sending the two into town to get a donkey. Check again please. I will also, I'm very tired and I may not have been looking in the right scripture.

The Holy Spirit dwells within you when you become saved. You are part of the Kingdom of God once you become saved.

Was your question removed by Christians who believe the Kingdom of God is in the Sky?

That's not simply a christian belief, it is shared by several faiths. What it means is that god dwells within each and every one of us, we all have a Divine spark.

It's very similar to Buddhist and Hindu beliefs about Brahman (God) and atman (self or soul) being the same thing, and that maya is a veil that deludes us into thinking that Brahman and atman are separate.
