Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is the greatest thing that has ever happened to NASCAR...right on par with his father. I love the fact that all of his die-hard fans never gave up after the roughest season of his career.

Hopefully he'll bring it around next year and we can watch him receive a little better award.

2008 Nextel Cup Champion. I do think so.

That does not surprise me. Even with the crappiest year ever, I can't help but like the guy. From his style of driving, to his attitude on camera. Now, I wish the 2008 season would hurry and get here so we can see his cars perform to his abilities!

... He's definitely the most popular. He will probably win it every year his name is in the most popular driver contest. I'm like you. I'm counting the days to Daytona. Next year will be some good competition between the drivers of the Jr, Johnson, and Gordon fans. They'll all have the same equipment so it will be a driver and crew showdown.

No surprise to me. Now that Dale Jr. has gotten away from his Step-Mom, there's no doubt he's headed for his first championship. I don't think he'll ever be the driver his father was ( hell, nobody else will either ) but he'll be awful close.

Yea, I don't see that changing anytime soon. And now we know it's not like Bill Elliott's wins when he was racing for McDonald's. That was rigged by McDonald's, they put a vote in for every employee of Micky D's. Now you know Bud isn't doing that.
