As an example...say you're on a diet and one day you cheat a little on it, how long does it take to see if that food made you gain weight? If i was to make a guess I would say about 24 hours because thats about how long it takes for the human body to digest a meal and absorb the fats and nutrients. But maybe someone out there has a medically educated answer. Thanks in advance!

fat storage occurs over an extended period of time when there is a caloric excess in the diet. the amount of calories that you consume over the course of the week is more important than those on a day to day basis.,

meals are digested in 4 hours or less depending on the amount of a calories in the meal and the amounts of protein/carbs/fats. the time from digestion to defecation is 24 hrs
