Hi for the past couple of days I have been noticing that my 2 1/2yr old daughter blinks normal than usual, almost like as if her eyes where dry or bothering her. I ask her if her eyes hurt...and she says no. She mostly does it when she is looking at books or the tv. Has this ever happened to anyone else;s baby they ended up needing glasses?? Is this a sign that she can't see well??

I meant to say she blinks more than usual.

yea, one of my cousins had a similar problem. he kept blinking too much, but i guess it was because he always played on the computer, PS2, or his Nintendo DS. he now wears glasses. i heard that the doctor said that he was just straining his eyes too much. now he doesn't blink that much. i don't think that blinking too much is a sign that your daughter can't see well, but that she is just straining them too much. does she constantly watch tv?

you could have your daughter take a break from watching tv for a couple of days and see if it'll help. if the blinking continues, you should try going to the doctor and see what they suggest.

My son did this as well. We just ignored it and he stopped. But you may want to get her eyes checked. I think its just a toddler thing though.
