question about experian credit check?

does experian charge anything for the credit check....they ask for your credit card number..they claim its free but will they charge a fee...thank you

If you are trying to order your free credit report you should go to the FTC site annualcreditreport.com and use the info from that site to order your free report.

If you are using freecreditreport.com then you are "not" going through the FTC, so you may be charged a fee from freecreditreport.
