It's a scam. Look at previous post. The goal is to get money in order to "solve" the problem.

No one can ever tell you if it will get warmer or cooler in the future.

At best people can only say that since other people believe in global warming, then you should as well.

I think it is warming just like it has before. Man's pollution may or may not be causing it to go higher this time. I don't believe we know for sure yet.

Reducing pollution and getting off as much foreign oil as possible are good things anyway, so why not try and do what we can. Nothing much to lose unless we go crazy and grasp at poor alternatives in desperation. We will know better later how much man has added to GW.

Start Building Nuclear Power Plants (Like France, Japan, and others did long ago)

Build Solar / Wind / Geothermal where it is practical and cost effective.

Buy more small diesel/gas and hybrid cars that get over 35MPG. REJECT large gas hogs.

Build smaller homes and make homes more energy efficient. Build in disincentives for wasteful users (Mexico charges more for the more you use - great incentive to use less)

It's been proven by science that the earth's climate has been warmer in the past than it is today, and it's also been cooler than it is today. The planet - the entire planet - encompasses numerous different systems that interact with each other... Mountains, prairies, oceans, deserts, marshes, the atmosphere, rivers, streams, glaciers, etc.

To claim that we pitiful humans completely and 100% understand the dynamics involved between the way those thousands, if not millions, of systems impact each other, is about as smart as saying that humans are the only intelligent life form in the universe. Yes, humans are learning about our planet. Yes, humans have impacted the planet - both in positive and negative ways...

Have humans caused emissions that have impacted the atmosphere? Undoubtedly. Are humans - and our emissions - the "cause" of global warming? I doubt it. Are we possibly contributing? Yup.

Does that mean humans should ignore our emissions? Of course not. We should be doing what we can to conserve, recycle, etc. We should be responsible in our actions...and do what we can to minimize our impacts. All of us...AL GORE INCLUDED...should do what we can to minimize our actions - not just spend extra money to "offset" our extravagant livestyle... Unfortunately, the rich are preaching that all of those "below them" should change, while they'll just spend more to obtain their offset without actually altering their lifestyles.

Its very real. and frankly it scares me to think that we as human beings are not doing everything it takes to correct it. we have the knowledge &. we have the technology. to fix it.we have children growing up to be the future.where would we be if our parents ran amuck all the time. i cant bend over backwards to kiss my butt goodbye.id rather not have to even go there.lifes short enough all ready.

i know its real. when you think of how much CO2 is going in the atmosphere, from cars, from houses, from factories, from nature, from animals and people, it makes sense. if its not real, whats happening to all this pollution up there?

Real, mostly caused by us. A serious problem.

This is science and what counts is the data.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)
Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut and the first Commander of the Naval Space Command

Here are two summaries of the mountain of peer reviewed data that convinced Admiral Truly and the vast majority of the scientific community, short and long.

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know... Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point. You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."

Dr. Jerry Mahlman, NOAA

Real but it is not casued by us. The climate is always going up or down we are just going up now.

climate change is happening but not because of us.
