Hmm... I have been through this before. I think the first step is just flirt, flirt, flirt. Unless he totally just frowns at you, gets up and walks away - your doing well.

Slowly progress by making casual conversation with him and in class ask him for help and attempt to make small talk and such.

Eventually, you should be able to write him a cute note and then put it in his locker (give him your number).

Or... if your not the kind of person to do anything like that. Just ask him if he wants to study with you at lunch sometime or something. Just as friends though. And see how that progresses from there.

All in all, (this is said way too much - but it is the best advice that anyone could ever get) JUST BE YOURSELF.

I recognise. If the fellow hit the woman first it's horrible, beat his butt. If the woman hit the fellow first....eh. Well Im 14 and Whenever i have a problom like that i always just kinda hint it to him that i like him but i dont actually come out and say it...and see what he does back...if he acts like he likes you then go for it...but if he doesnt then just lay off for a bit and just try being friends...maybe something will grow from that... idk what else to tell you-but it worked for me so maybe its worth a try... :)

Just talk to the guy,friendly conversation can tell you alot about how he feels..If he acts interested in what you talk about,your in,if he acts distant or uninterested better to just be his friend and nothing more..why waste your time?=) good luck!
