yes, you will need to show passport off and on the ship if you are on a cruise... I think is a law or will be that you have to show passport back into the United States. They are strict coming back into America

Check with the cruise line, they should know since it is quite common. I doubt you would need anything special if you are going on a cruise, when you get back on the ship in Cayman and Cozumel, they mainly look at the document the ship gave you (and verify your picture that they took when you boarded). You will need a passport and I guess your Green Card to get back in here and you may have to go through a different line when you return.

Here is the link to the Caymanian Immigration information

The current advice is that Green Card Holders can enter the Cayman Islands regardless of their nationality for a maximum of 30 days - should be ok there then

the above is the link to Mexican immigration information - tourist visas are issued at the port of entry after filling in the form and paying the fee - ok there as well.

Looks as though you are set to go as long as your passport still has six months validity.

Enjoy - go to Stingray city in Grand Cayman, a great experience.

i'm a green card holder too. my husband (US citizen) and i went on a cruise to grand cayman and cozumel in september. nope, no visas needed. cayman islands and mexico allows green card holders to enter the country without visa as long as it is for vacation purposes =) i only had to show my passport and green card in florida... prior to boarding and upon disembarkation of the ship. not once did i have to show my papers or pay any fees on any ports of call during the entire cruise (grand cayman, cozumel, jamaica, haiti).

You post very badly but suspect you are a foreignier but resident in the US.You must check the facts with the Cruise line or travel agent. You will not be able to board if you need a visa. Also no refund of the passage fare will be given. It is most unlikly that you do need a visa depending on your nationality of course but you must check to make sure.
