I'm so glad you found her! Give her time. Its traumatic being lost, and then having to go to a new place. Make sure to set extra time aside just for her.

The new apartment has new smells, scary rooms, etc. and she needs time to learn her way around and put her own scent on the NEW PLACE. Also, being outside, alone, scared for awhile has "done a number" on her, and she'll need a lot of EXTRA TLC from you for a few days, til she gets comfortable in the new place. You know, she was probably scared that she'd never see you again!! That's really frightening for a cat (or anyone else)! It's really good that she likes your husband and didn't run from him when they saw each other. You're very lucky! One thing that I haven't seen mentioned by anyone else, here, is.......get a small BELL and attach it to her collar. She may not like having a collar on, but it won't take long for her to ignore it, and the bell can be heard BY YOU/YOUR HUSBAND, when she walks around, so you'll know when she's close to the door!! I have had a bell on my "escape artist" cat for years. I don't think he even realizes it's on him, now. Good luck with your "baby".

Yes it's the move. Let her sleep in the bed with you a couple of nights. Set up her bed and food bowls and litter box in the same arrangement they were in prior to the move. It will feel familiar for her to move the same way to find her things. Buy her some new toys and spend a little extra time playing with her. Carry her from room to room and stay in the room with her while she checks it all out. Do not let her get out again. I know some of them are real escape artists, but do your best to keep her inside. She'll settle down when she figures out that the two of you are going to keep coming back to the new place where she is. Poor kitty. I would also take her to the vet to make sure she didn't pick up anything nasty during her "missing period". Watch to make sure she's eating and drinking and going to the bathroom regularly.
Good luck. I'm so happy you found her.

well... i think you should take her to the new apartment and make sure she dont get out... in travel back to the new place she can be hit by a car or attacked and not make it back home (to the new) or back to the old house.
the only thing i can think to say in this case... make an area of the home ONLY for her... put her food... water and cat pan in there. then leave her in the area. close the door. go inside and visit her, when you leave this is also a good thing cause you can close her into the room and not have to worry she might get out. Also just to be sure, i would go to a local pet store and make her a tag... put it on a collar that will stay on her... and leave her with your name and number cause she gets out and someone can catch her. I would suggest putting... *i need Medication and your telephone number.* NEVER PUT HER NAME ON THE TAG. Needs Medication and a number. thas all.

Is she spayed? She might have gotten pregnant while she was gone. Even if she is spayed you should prolly take her to the vet she might have caught some disease or something
Its prolly not the new apartment, its the change. Cats have a routine they don't like it when that routine has to change, she should get used to it in a week or two and then be back to normal

Cats don't change at all. Give her time to adjust. If she continues to act different after a few days take her to the vet.

give her her old food, a favorite blanket and/or toy. She'll get back to normal. If she doesn't come back to normal soon, then maybe just get her checked out by your vet to make sure she IS okay. she might be meowing too cuz she is happy to see you again. So glad you found her!!!

Try a product like Feliway. It helps calm the cat. Our vet uses it in her office and we used it when we first got our cat to our house.
It really works. It can help calm stressed kitties and help them get used to new surroundings. :)

I don't know what a comparable product is in the US...
