Its been 2 months, he was my first love. At first I was terrible, couldnt stop crying but Im definately better than the mess I was 2 months ago. For the most part im fine because Ive gotten to the point where I dont think about him and when I do I dont stay focused on it. But occasionally I think about it alot and I start getting upset again...Seriously when will the pain go away?

Take it one step at a time. find another guy you like and start to talk to him. once you started to like the guy you have been talking to you, the pain will go away.

I guess it depends on how you are accepting things. For some people love last's a few months (which i dont think is true love if you can just forget someone so easily.)
Some people it takes years, and some people, it never goes away.
The best way to deal with it, is just to accept it. It isnt easy, but it's really the only way to be 'okay' with it. But sometimes, yeah, that pains gonna come back.
Just try hard to pull it together, and keep your head up.

God Bless, and I hope everything works out.

I find that it really helps when you find someone else. When this first happened i bet you thought that you would never be okay again, never stop crying. And this is probably hard to believe because i didn't believe it when i was in your situation, but someday you will look back at him and just think of the good times you had together, and you wont have any feelings for him.

It's all about attitude. I know what it's like to love somebody so much- and have them leave you. Ive had it happen only once. It took months and months for me to think of him without feeling dead inside. He was a royal jackass, and I STILL loved him.

Eventually, somebody else came into my life. That helps. A lot.

In the meantime, this is a great chance for some self discovery. Get out, and find something that makes your life worth living. Anything.

Just remember- you are now one looser closer to finding your other half :)

Try to spend time focusing on all the good things in your life. Also, start looking at other guys. Even if you aren't ready to date, flirt! It will make you feel good and speed up the process. Since he was your first love you probably will always compare other guys to him, but just remember that you can ALWAYS do better!

liz - I'm sorry you're having such a rough time, but just know that eventually the painful feelings will fade away. .

Please know, your painful Emotions are just ENERGIES IN MOTION in your body. Instead of trying not to cry, let yourself cry as much as you need to.

Every time you don't allow yourself or you aren't allowed to fully experience an emotion, to feel it, and to move through it, the energy of that emotion becomes stopped and blocked in your body. It remains blocked until you go back and re-experience that emotion. Then the energetic block is freed and cleared. Virtually all of our physical ailments come from energetic blocks in our bodies, energetic patterns that are connected to our emotional patterns

One effective way to release negative emotion is by using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Emotional Tapping. In EFT you apply gentle acupressure tapping to specific body points to release blocked emotions. EFT is easy to learn (you can learn the basics in 15-30 minutes). You can use EFT anytime, anywhere for any emotional or physical issue. One basic round of EFT takes about one minute to complete. EFT works quickly and PAINLESSLY.

Please download the FREE EFT Instructional manual from the EFT website (www.emofree.com). Also, please watch the FREE Introductory video. If you want to know how well EFT works in mending a broken heart, please go to: http://www.emofree.com/Articles2/heartbreak-broken-romance.htm

There is another EFT website, Tapping.com, where can get some immediate relief for your emotional pain and learn how to use EFT by tapping along with their 14 FREE Instructional videos (including Forgiveness and Memory Release).

You will be okay. Good luck
