I haven't been in a relationship in about 3.5 years. I've been out to eat with girls, to the movies, etc. but I get this feeling that they're not seeing me as more than a friend.

I think somehow I inadvertently send a message that says I'm not date-able. And therefore I fall into the friends trap.

And every guy knows that once you become a girl's friend, there will never be anything more. (that's why guys stop talking to girls, fyi)

So how can I do a little PR work for my love life? Do I need to temporarily date the biggest gossiper in town? (that was a joke) But seriously, what's my deal?

please explain when you say "ask her out". When I hear that I think "hey, you want to go get dinner?"

Is there some script for asking someone out that someone forgot to send me a long time ago?

If you believe you're not dateable others will too. You may need to give yourself a little ego boost prior to going out.

it could just be the way you act when you're with the girl, maybe you're treating her more like a friend than a potential girlfriend.
be very chivalrous. open the door for her, compliment her, etc etc. there's not a lot of that anymore. be creative :D
good luck!!
