I think the would would be much worse off without religion.
The Atheistic Soviet Union was responsible for the death of 61,911,000 victims of genocide and mass murder in just 70 years from 1917 to 1987: http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/NOTE4.HTM
In addition, Catholics believe the desire for God is written in the human heart, because each person is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw each person to himself.
Denying God under these circumstances would only lead to unhappiness.

With love in Christ.

I think that people would create some other form of social manipulation that filled the same role - I also think that people would still behave as well or as badly as they do now.
OTOH - If you are asking is what would the world be like if we grew out of the need for such nonsense? I think it would be remarkable and beneficial for all --
I would disagree with the fellow who posted about the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. John Lennon did not simply suggest an end to religion - he also said imagine no countries - nothing to fight or die for... etc. The song was about trying to imagine peace...

Some other social manipulation device would take its place.
But hopefully, it would be one that had some sort of factual basis.
That's all I ask for. As long as it's not the product of someone's imagination, it can be criticized and adjusted for the good of all. But as long as it's an imaginary authority figure, the human race is nothing other than the inhabitants of a very large insane asylum.

I am like ithe first person who answered. People would fight about politics even more.
I know of one atheist here who would have no "Christian bashing questions" to ask, so we would not ever hear from this person. Her life would be totally empty without someone to hate, lol. She really loves us, for she cannot stop thinking of us. We are always on her mind.
