I'm gonna have to agree with Vishal here. Nothing can really be separated from our underlying "philosophy of life" - those presuppositions (noetic system) that influence how we perceive and interpret the world around us - whether that be through science or religion or (fill in the blank).
As far as the actual question is concerned - for me personally it's not a "vs."

Personally, I believe that science and philosophy can't be neatly separated, and that science/philosophy holds more weight than religion.
(If anybody wants to see an argument for why philosophy and science can't be separated, read Lawrence Sklar's Space and Time.)

First Science for the known (health,living, evolution), Next Philosophy for the unknown(creation,existence) and then Religion that involves both (spirituality).
