People seem perfectly willing to turn to it with religion. I doubt there would be a noticeable difference. Heck the US is one of the more religious countries, and we have the highest incarceration rate in the world.

I would not. I do not smoke, drink do drugs, or commit adultery. I have never "turned to debauchery."
I am a good, moral, kind person, and I would be the same as I am even if there were not a God.
You are quite incorrect.
I think you left out the word "are" in your question. It is grammatically incorrect.
Do you NEVER let up in your vile attacks on Christians? Your whole life seems to revolve around ridiculing us, mocking us, and accusing us of all manner of evil.

I think religion drives people to sex, drugs and debauchery, although I prefer rock and roll, mostly because I'm not sure exactly where debauchery is, and also because it goes well with the first two, which are easy to find. Read the history of the popes and you'll find R&R is the only thing missing.

Probably the religious people who claim that lack of religion makes people turn to all manner of debauchery and crime would. I think it's a matter of religion as addiction for naturally addictive personalities.

Some might if they "behave" only out of fear instead of out of a respect for others and themselves.
I was not brought up with any religion, and I didn't need it to teach me right from wrong or responsibility so living with or without religion is no guarantee of any type of behavior.
Some of the "wildest" girls I knew in college were quite religious actually so you never know.

From what I read on here, apparently 90% of Christians believe they would.
(In which case, maybe we should let them keep their religion)
I do think that it's likely though, that people who can't find inner peace without some sort of "magic" in their life might turn to these things. I mean let's face it, irrational belief in a nonexistent god is not much different from dropping LSD to look at the irrational, nonexistent pink elephants dancing across the room...

Religion can't prevent you from doing those things. Even some of the holiest people in the bible fell victim to those temptations. That's why we need christ.
It's all about your heart.

Actually I know many Christians who do these things.Have you ever looked around and seen all the Christian single mothers who have never been married? There are lots of single never been married 25 year olds, but how many 25 year old virgins are there?
