I'm trying to order some name tapes for acus for my soldier in Iraq... I need the velcro kind, is that "hook fastener"? Because thats all I can find...

Hook and loop tape is also what it is refered to as. but yes as the first answer said, velcro is a brand of hook loop tape or hook fastener tape.

sssshhhh... you can't say the v-word. It's copyrighted. (in other words, you say hook and fastener or hook and loop when you're looking for the same substance without endorsing one particular brand)
